I just got my "final determination" that the USPS is not going to pay for the bees that they killed by placing them within a plastic USPS bag. Initially, I was instructed by my local Illinois Post Office branch NOT to bring dead animals in for inspection, but rather bring photos and the rest of the packing material. I did so, but later learned that I should have taken everything to a Missouri Post Office more than an hour away in a different state because it is the regional claims center for all of St Louis. The bottom line is that I am without any bees and my $370.
